If there’s one restaurant you need to visit while on Kauai it is Keoki’s Paradise. I know that’s a big claim but Keoki’s Paradise has lots of reasons why it is a must-visit place. First is the atmosphere. Keoki’s is open air yet feels like you’ve entered a jungle. Large trees and vines shield the restaurant from the rest of the world. The restaurant is broken up into two parts – the bar and the main seating area. Either is great though pay attention where they are playing live music – sometimes it’s in the bar and sometimes the main seating area.
You should make a reservation as Keoki’s is very popular. You can make them using Open Table, or calling them at 808-742-7534.
The food is as you might expect fabulous. Often we have the panko encrusted fish, a salad, and Hula Pie (you MUST try Hula Pie!). They also bring out some yummy warm muffins with apple butter as an appetizer. Lunch is equally delicious. Really, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like there. My only warning is not to sit near the rear outside of the bar in the evening. We got eaten up by mosquitos!
